Project: #PassAPlate (#808PassAPlate)
#PassAPlate was started by NuWayve Unl. founder, Cpl. James Trice (Army, Ret.). This project started as a vehicle to deliver food to homeless families around the holidays. After the holiday season, many are still homeless, and still go hungry daily. Whether itʻs your leftovers from Thanksgiving, or an extra mixplate from the lunch-time rush, If itʻs an edible plate? Letʻs pass it!!
"We first started going out downstairs in front of our own housing near Fort Street, but soon expanded into the Chinatown district. From Fort Street Mall to Aʻala park, and from Chinatown to Kakaʻako - we collaborate on the purchase our produce, preparation/arrangement the meal servings; and then we pound the pavement, passing plates and bottled waters or canned juice (Aloha Maid/Hawaiian Sun). The smiles from the kids and the families... THATʻS the payout. THAT is the win you want." - J. Trice /Founder
